Carrot Oil

Carrot oil contains beta-carotene, an orange pigment that the body converts into vitamin A. Beta-carotene can give the skin a slightly warmer, golden appearance over time, which may enhance the look of a tan.Some tanning products include carrot oil because vitamin A derivatives are involved in healthy skin function and may help support the skin’s natural tanning response when exposed to UV light. It does not force the skin to produce melanin, but it may complement the process. Carrot oil contains fatty acids and antioxidants that help prevent dryness and peeling, which can make a tan fade more quickly.
